Hey, peeps! Its Hannah. Again. Now, I would like you to imagine that you and your sibling are at the doctor’s office. Suddenly…. Your sibling starts crying and trying to run away from the doctor’s office. You are watching peoples’ uncomfortable stares. This is me. Tony HATES going to the doctor. What can I say? Vaccines can hurt! Whenever we go in, he’s upset. Wanna get an idea of how upset he normally is? Lets just say when my mom said it had gone better than usual last week, I was a bit surprised.
So….. where am I going with this? Its answered in a simple question. If you were watching someone yelling and running in a doctors office, what would you think? Would you be sorry for them? Or would you judge them? Would you wonder why they were so upset? Would you try to help? If you secretly criticize them, imagine this. Imagine being in a scary place that you were made to go to. See someone you don’t know well at all. People you don’t know staring at you. Imagine it. Every time you criticize someone acting different in a waiting room, imagine being them. Maybe your thoughts will change. Sometimes if someone is behaving in a way I think is odd… I think of Tony and his situation so I can be more compassionate. 🙂
Well… those are kinda my main thoughts. Like this post and subscribe to my moms blog! Peace, out!
