OK, hi! It’s me, Hannah! I am doing a book review this month. Today we are talking about a book that was published in the late 90’s. The book is called, “Views from Our Shoes, Edited by Donald Meyer.” But, on the cover, why does it say edited instead of written? The answer is that it is written by many people. The book is made from letters sent to the author about the lives of kids who’s siblings have special needs. The letters are arranged carefully, from the youngest writer to the oldest writer. The writers range from ages 4 to 18. This book could be helpful to siblings whose brothers and/or sisters are disabled. And NO, I’m not gonna say that it helps us know there are others like us, we already know that. But it feels better when we find out that some people have the EXACT same problems we do! If you are a parent of multiple kids and one (or more) has special needs, I suggest you give them this book. Thanks for reading and have a great day!
<3 Hannah 🙂
